Michael Kwong has been a singer and songwriter on the acoustic guitar for nearly 30 years and has released 4 studio albums.  He began painting and drawing in 2006 and in 2009 started creating noise, experimental, and free jazz music using the electric guitar and snare drum.  Kwong performed a featured set at ABC No-Rio in 2013, and shortly thereafter toured New York with the experimental music trio ArtStar.  He began writing poetry in 2019, which was published in the online magazine Mixed Asian Media.  In 2020, he started teaching himself the drums and plays the kit in ambient and free jazz projects, as well as in rock bands.  Kwong resides in Brooklyn, NY, where he published his first book of poetry featuring original artwork, “An Eyelash for Sand,” in 2024, and released his 4th studio album, “April Hour” in 2026.  He is currently a student of classical piano.
